Are you going to want sliders?
I'm in for answers as well, since I just hard-mounted an Evo to the stock rails of my '86 using the standard Sparco brackets--but I had to mount the outboard bracket "backwards" (otherwise the brackets were 2" too far apart) and I'm not really satisfied with that solution. It did net me the extra headroom I wanted.
Edit: for clarification, I used bracket A with the inboard bracket mounted normally, and the outboard backwards. This limited how low I could get the seat and seems sturdy, but can't be ideal. Bonus: it did move the seat further inboard to better align with the pedals.
