Spray glue hasn't worked for me in the past on headliners, but then again, it may not really have been for that use.
The heavy duty DAP stuff sounds good - will give that a try.
And Dave - thanks for identifying the name for those plastic fasteners. I did notice that they looked like pop rivets, but did not think to equate the name.
