Actually, it found him "not guilty", as in not proven beyond a reasonable doubt to that jury. There is no verdict of "innocent" in criminal trials in the United States.
Just curious; do you think that "the system" ever makes mistakes, i.e. finding innocent people guilty or guilty people not guilty?
