Absolutely stunning yesterday as the bikes, often in small packs, breezed the Richard Russell, Wolf Pen, 180, 60, and 129 connectors and pavement remained smooth, clean, and perfect. My same old, same old, R11S.........just did the same again and in my heart I was as if 35 again, proof that motorcycles are good for us, in our time of aging needs. Especially provocative were the groups of single cylinder moto bikes with fat race tires that carried so much speed thru the corners that I could not believe it for the street, as compared to the days back then. This whole part of Georgia is being snapped up by those who don't want to be "in the city" when it all comes down. The richness of Nature and it's wonders surround this area of the country and the roads are some of the very best for car, bicycle, motorcycle, or trike. T.W.O. looked like it was open Sunday, but only a few bikes were there, so they may no longer be operating. I found myself dreaming yesterday................. of getting hold of a BMW 1000R four cylinder, setting it in rain mode and the lowest engine power setting.........and just seeing what it feels like. As if. Oh well, dreams are good for the soul as well as the actual ride itself is, so why not mix the two. Looking back, now, I have come to appreciate Henry Ford even more for his quote that still sticks with me, in that: "A persons reputation is not built on what they plan to do." Drive Gud! Ave Fund!
