I remember riding in the back of a factory turbo z 28. It must have been 1980, or 81. I think it was called the ultra z . My dad was going to buy one . It had this really simply light bar boost gauge in the little storage area in front of the shifter . I think it went from green to red at full boost .
Probably grew from the same program as this one . Was pretty high tech for an american car at the time. I bet it had horrible lag.
Agree that the cars were complete crap. I dreamed for years and years about owning one, when I finally got one, it was very dissapointing. I think that is what led me into the german stuff .
