I accidentally posted this thread in PARF. I would have asked for the thread to be moved, but it had already degraded in to a rather unseemly stew.

I have a 2011 MB E350 4 matic. A couple of the wheels are bent. I had a service straighten them, and I don't feel any vibration, but I can still hear that they are slightly out of round. I've read they will never be perfect, so there will always be a bit of wobble noise. The 40 series tires are loud to begin with.

I was going to have a different service take another crack at them, but I was also considering biting the bullet and getting some inexpensive aftermarket replacements. I have been perusing Tirerack looking at options.

Any input on this? The BBS wheels I like would be about $1k for 4. There are cheaper rims, down to $150 or less. Are wheels pretty much 'you get what you pay for'?
