Not really sure what you mean by bad strategy. Why would the dealer order a bunch of stick shift cars that hardly anyone wants to buy on the off-chance that you swing by in your old 911 to kick some tires? As far as having the 718 at the dealer so soon after official announcement, this is nothing new and not isolated to Porsche. Every car company does this. The cars aren't hitting the lots that close to launch.
