The 'Cuda didn't follow anyone, it was the first pony car out. Also, as far as I'm concerned, lots of the pony cars grew up to be musclecars,. Between my brother and I we had lots of pony cars mostly mustangs, he had 2 Shelbys 67 and 68 and many others with big brutish motors. I had a few, not as many as he, mine mostly the early 289's, he always favoured the later and more muscly muscle cars.
Here's my last one, (I got this on a fair trade straight-up for a 944s) and sold around
2007 We called them musclecars at our house, wrongly I guess.
