thanks brian - I actually wound up painting the spoiler with a can of plastic paint - it may have been painted before as it was a chalky white - or that could have been sun damage - this type of repair should hold ..at least until I rip it off on a curb or something - it's so close to the ground I've already kissed a parking stop with it - little scrapes easily touched up with paint - so far I've driven about 400 miles - no problems other than the brake pad warning popping up sometimes when I hit a bump - all the wires for them are cut and tied together - I have replacement sensors but haven't gotten around to putting them on yet - this car drives very nice - the shifting is a little notchy - synchros are worn but no actual grinding - swapping in the 86 tranny is on the horizon - going to go up to the hills soon and see how it does on curvy roads - got the a/c compressor completely disassembled - going to try to get that back together today
