If we can all agree that Asian females are obsessed with selfies, I think it flies in the face of the values they're taught by parents.... humility, for example. So, I don't think its that, exactly.

Perhaps it is just a marketing tool. I wonder if there's any correlation between singles and those in relationships. That would be interesting.

I see no need to put my face into a photo just to prove I was there. I took the photo, after all. That's proof enough for me. I take maybe 2-3 a year while traveling so I can send them to the wife. No particular reason. I usually have my clothes on, too.

Now, selfies with friends & family I can understand. You're just basically functioning as a third-party photographer in that situation.
