Those long steel intake runners don't work very well on a type 4 motor. The fuel charge condenses on em so you get uneven mixtures. The results are poor driveability and mileage.
Get some duals and never look back! The short manifolds heat up and help with the intake charge for decent warm ups and driveability. Get a good linkage and sync em and they work pretty well IF you install a carb cam. The stock FI cam doesn't work all that well with the carb set ups.
