to answer somw questions...it is a 1984n/a. I've had the problem for a while but only when the tank is over 3/4 full. It only smells when driving with the windows or roof open. Get worse on cornering. I have noticed some holes in the fender spaces in the back. they seem factory to let out any water. I don't know if that is what they are there for but I'm going to check another 944 soon. I've checked the feul rail but there seems to be no problem. Would it be the evaporative canister? please let me know. Also I have just noticed that when the car is totally full the tank drips...what do I do.
