well, naturally, they get to a point where there is a negative deficit. they start removing items..she was about $2 bucks short..

i dont know if i was eye rolling or not, but i stopped them and said i would cover it. i honestly did it to get the entire scenario behind me. she thanked me and left. i get up there and buy all my crappy target apartment accoutrements..soap dishes, sponges, toilet brush..etc. the guy ringing me up, opens up a drawer and clicks a barcode taped to the bottom. BOOM! 20% off! just like that. i made money!!

i was more surprised that the target cashier had a cheat code for 20% at the ready..at all times. it was cool.
