I have a friend from my school days, who went to London UK in the early 1970s and got a job there working for a snobby stockbroker. He had previous experience working in a stockbrokers office in Australia.

There was a younger junior office boy (also from Australia) who started in the office, but the English middle-managers were going out of their way to give that kid a hard time, with incomplete work instructions and generally bully/humiliate him. My friend thought this was very unfair & sort of took this kid 'under his wing' and discretely explained what those tasks required and how to do them.

This went on for about a year, until my friend went off to the US to find his fortune in SF. Unfortunately this didnt work out for my friend and, 30 years later he returned to Australia - broke - to live with his elderly parents.

A few moths later he was in the City, just walking down the street and a prosperous looking businessman stopped him and started talking with him. It was this 'kid' from 30 years ago in London who my friend had completely forgotten. The kid had stayed in stockbroking and now owned a very successful business in Australia. Long story short, my friend got a good job and a fresh start in that guys firm.

This 2nd chance my friend got was not wasted and he worked his way upwards until he recently retired - very comfortably (with a much better 911 than I have!!!).

As you can imagine, my friend is a great advocate of 'Good' Karma.
