Paper route starting at 12; at one point in HS I had three jobs- saved money like crazy and bought my first Porsche, a '73 914 for $2950 at 16. Pretty much had to buy everything for myself except food and some clothes.
Once I started working full time and discovering credit, it all went downhill, buying more than I could afford, now back full circle, everything paid for- no debt, bunch of money going into deferred compensation each month and a bit of money in the bank.
Unfortunately I've worked much harder than smarter!
