well im going to be buying my first porsche! its 85 944 na. it has some nice tasteful mods like a chip, turbo wheels, exhaust, and some interior do dads like a new shift knob and momo steering wheel. the guy thats selling has incountered a problem and wants rid of it since he'd rather put the $ into his house. its 2,k for the car. well i guess he says it needs a new ring and pinion or a clutch. he said that he pulled out of an intersection and it like seized up the tranny or something. well he took it back to the porsche place and they told him 9 times out of 10 its the ring and pinion or the clutch. im not going to buy it until i know for a fact what is wrong and how much its going to cost to fix. i know a porsche tech guy so i think i can get the work done cheaper. i guess im asking what do you guys think it is? he said that the car didnt shut off. and how much for the parts and how hard is it to fix?
