Not worth over $1,000 if a "newer" 85 with the modern looking dash. About $500 if the older 84 with the square gauge cluster dash.

Too bad all those dollars spent on fluffy cosmetics were not put into the maintenence. Junk yard trans $500 (if you can find one) Rebuilt trans $1,500. Clutch job minimal $400 -- full; $1,200.

Then if the timing belt has let go add another $1,300. Best to replace these at short intervals then it's just $50 for both belts.

Now if you shop around you can get a decent documented 944 for four to five thou!
