Well, the auction is live over on Bringatrailer.com... I'm not able to post back, though. I don't know why....
One recurring theme is around roll centers and weight. So now that the motor is now commonly understood to weigh less than the flat 6, there's discussion that it raises the roll center at the back of the car due to the center of mass being higher on the v8 than the flat 6. This actually isn't true. The top of the heads sits about the same height as the flat 6. The engine hangs lower than the flat 6. And this is comparing it to a normally aspirated motor. A turbo motor with the intercooler set up way high under the wing must have a higher CG than the v8. It certainly does compared to a flat 6.
There is stuff on the v8 that sticks up higher than the flat 6 but it's all plastic and doesn't have any real weight.
