Not really, since my belief is that it is the cam (and engine capacity) that really determines the HP as long as the head(s) can flow enough to support it. As long as the heads' flow is within an acceptable range, the cam will do its job and develop the desired torque at the desired RPM.

As far as the transaxle is concerned, it really all depends on the ratios. True the 915 box is beefier, and also has more drag, but it is most likely pretty trivial compared to other factors.
