To his credit, he did pull out of the slump at the beginning of the season and that ain't easy. By the end of the year he had great numbers and that is a the sign of a great player. That said, there were players that deserved mvp than cindy and imo the only reason he got it was because everyone stumbles over themselves to worship at his feet.

People like howe, beliveau (yes i admire a hab), gretzky, orr.. Were far better sportsman any day of the week than cindy has been in the sum total of his career. Maybe someday he'll grow up and get some integrity to match the skill he has.
Talent? Yes. Respected? Nope. (just like people feel about marchand).
