i really need some help and have gotten in over my head. my 1974 carrera targa is getting repainted, so i thought it would be a good opportunity to remove the black body mouldings and door window frames so i could have them restored/refinished. i thought the best option would be powercoating, so i started to take everything apart...then i ran into my first big snag. i cannot remove the vent window glass from the frame. i took it to 4 places in west los angeles and nobody could get the glass away from the frames. it looks like a bad idea, but i think i have to do it, otherwise my vent window trim will look different from all of the others. here is a photo. can anyone help me remove the glass? any suggestions are greatly appreciated. i am in la, by the way.
