That used to be me. I recently determined my billable rate and a light switch flipped.
Put a new steering rack, etc. and brakes on the Tundra last weekend. Could not get the intermediate shaft/rack coupler off easily with heat and a pickle fork. Called Toyota dealership, $114 later I had a brand new coupler. Best part was the old rubber was pretty much like overdone pasta. New one was nice and firm. Money extremely well spent.
On the flip side, the amount of work I did on the truck on the weekend meant I saved enough to go to Copenhagen this summer. So it's a bit of a yin/yang thing.
