Another plus for Carrera vs SC is the ease of adding significant HP. My engine dynoed at 240 HP, with only these relatively cheap and reversible mods:
- Steve Wong chip.
- M&K pre-muffler and 1-in/1-out muffler.
You can't chip the SC engine since it's CIS injection, so stock you're stuck at 180 HP (correct me if I'm wrong).
