I'm in the process of remodeling the kitchen and am seriously thinking of hiring someone to work up 2 or 3 "finishes" schemes.
Wall color, flooring, countertop and backsplash. I think I would do fine on my own, but a designer has mental access to so many more choices than I do- they shop and browse stock constantly.
