Some modern porsches do have a funny clutch/gas combo indeed. I remember the base boxster was awesome, but the Cayman S gas pedal always made it hard for me to pull out cleanly without giving it more revs than I'm used to! No sweet spot like the SC. So maybe the boxster S is the same, dunno.

Sticks are getting so rare they're an anti theft device now, we should all "stick" together..
They are all different. My Porsche's clutch is smooth, but I stall my Jeep all of the time. No big deal, because stalling is not the end of the world - it could be much worse with a more radical mistake.
