I have a 2015 Ram with the twisty knob shifter. It works flawlessly (so far) and I kind of think it's cool... Also, removed the column shifter from the line of sight to HVAC vents, keyhole/push starter, etc.

Worthy of note, like any other modern automatic, it has an interlock that prevents it from being turned at inopportune times... not that you would since it is out of the way. You'd really have to consciously be trying to mess with it.
