Last year, I got a call from an "attorney" at the California Attorney General's office. He wanted to discuss a "serious" matter with me. I hung up on him without saying a word. He calls me right back. I laughed at him and hung up again. He calls back. This time, I asked him his name, and googled it while he waited. Turns out, he really was an attorney and they had decided to ride my a$$ about my company website privacy policy. It was good for a laugh for both of us, and I narrowly averted some kind of BS California fine.
