Actually, I think 3rd Worldliness has crept into the decision-making. We know corruption is already there.
Ironically, most Olympic-hosting cities sustain huge financial losses. The Olympics is a money funnel. Maybe the name should be changed to the Olympic Global Initiative or to the Run, Jump and Swim Foundation.
