Elie said a lot of correct and truthful things. I would agree with his quote above whole heartedly.
What I can't excuse and what I think dishonors the dead and those who survived was his insistence on claiming who he was and the description of his experiences during WWII.
The truth should be universally important to everyone and I'd say it to whomever, wherever.
