They are - just have to shop the right places.

I went from a couple of 911's to the 944 S2

The 944's are great cars - and if you tear into it - you will see the similarities. I went with Ground Control coil overs and eliminated the torsion bars. M030 sway bars. While apart for a clutch - I also did some preventative replacements. The brakes are much cheaper - many of the parts still carry the porsche premium.

Wheels are easier to find - the AC actually works
