Do you wonder if the assembly technicians were told to be on their best behavior during filming? Possibly work a bit slower so the camera can better capture the processes? I spent a great deal of my professional life working in (domestic) automotive fabrication and assembly plants and noticed a few things:
- all the workers wear the same, if not similar, BMW themed uniform, shirt, overalls, etc.
- very quiet ambient noise level...granted, most relatively precision assembly areas are
- very little (if any) talking amongst workers. Certainly no yelling across assembly lines to your co-worker.
- no stereos blaring at a work station and no one wore ear plugs connected to a personal music source
- no personal belongings (jacket, sweater, purse, coffee cup, etc.) in or around a work station
- no trash or misc. parts being kicked around on the floor
- no rubber padded cushion mats for the workers to stand on
- no safety glasses
Always fascinating to watch.
Gotta go. My foreman is calling me off break.
