That article ignores the other income flows and valuation increases owners benefit from, and instead assumes that the TV deal will be the only source of increase for both parties.

Lacob bought the Warriors at $450mil in 2010. Ballmer bought the Clippers in 2014 for $2 billion. On his ownership valuation alone, that bumps Michael Jordan into the three comma category.

I can understand why some think athletes are overpaid. I can't see why they think athletes are taking the lion's share of the money.
