"Candy" is back where she belongs!
Just had to share a funny story about this bike. I sold this bike along with an '09 GS exactly one year ago to buy a new 2015 GS. I figured I could get by with one bike and wouldn't miss the "S" even though I had always lusted for one. I figured it would just pass with time. It didn't!
To make a long story short, I emailed the guy that bought my S on a whim, and just asked him if he ever decided to sell it, to please let me know. He responded relatively quickly and asked if I was actually serious. It turns out that he had just purchased a new vehicle and was not riding the S, so he had just decided to sell it. In fact he had just posted an add about an hour before receiving my email. Very Twighlight Zone!
In any case, I drove down and it was still in perfect condition and he hardly used it, so she came home with me!
I bought the bike in the first place because I just loved the look and enjoyed looking at it every time I went out in the garage. Its still the case and something I missed for the year she was gone.
In any case, I figured that the small community of folks that love these bikes would at least appreciate a good story around one.
Now if anyone has a Pit Bull rear stand, let me know! Like an idiot, I sold mine when I sold her!
