The collective concern that if it is real, the clock is ticking, and these things have a way of vanishing when a very decisive cash-laden 911 fan shows up.
For value's sake, you can make an 'apples to apples' price comparison for an M491 right between a 'normal' 911 and a Turbo. Others say add about 40% to the normal value. This is debated of course, but any price guide that arbitrarily says, "Add $8000 for TL" or whatever has missed the target.
FWIW, a very clever and car-aware attorney in Atlanta purchased a 'documented' (not by Norbert) M491 cab only to find - after spending $6k to redo the interior and top - that it was not the real thing. Trouble ensued.
Do thy homework and if real, make a move.

Interesting. How far did the fakers take the conversion? Did the do they do the brakes and various suspension changes or was it simply a wide body conversion with some clever re-stickering?
