A price was given for the job. The paint colour, the metal work, stripping, among other things were all discussed. Also a very comparable finished car was shown to him and he was told that the comparable car was '$XX' to do and that his car would be done for the same.
962porsche Never has he 'hung out at the shop'. Nor did he choose an elaborate finishing process or changed things on the fly. Yes a Written estimate should have been done. He trusted the individual doing the work. Live and learn.
