Here is a 75 915/40 5 speed transmission with 8:31 R&P, S/N 7153328. It appears to have been rebuilt, as the engine that came with it had been rebuilt approx. 23k mi ago...but I do not have records to prove it. The assembly nuts, which are brighter zinc or cad coated, were not used on the factory trans build. It has a mechanical speedo drive, making it a good fit for early cars with 3.2 or 3.6 upgrades needing the stronger 8:31 R&P and wanting to retain the stock mech drive speedometer.
