Well, one reason may be that the original deployed in a collision that isn't being disclosed. Not saying that is the case here, but certainly a possibility. Airbags are expensive, so it's pretty common to see salvage/insurance auction cars being fixed-and-flipped with aftermarket, non-airbag wheels. Or, sometimes you will see airbag wheels, but they will be the wrong model and/or color. I'd be sure to run a Carfax & AutoCheck on it. Also, if you google the VIN, you can sometimes get a hit on the actual salvage auction page to see the "before" pictures.
