Again, still need rocker panel delete, and black carrera side scripts. And the bumpers are not painted. Flipping and flopping between black and body color.
Went to a "car show" today. Love the new cayman... First time I had to double take and ask if I felt the 911 was the nicer looking car. It still is imho... But the gap is narrow.
Sadly, the 3.2 was leaking oil "mid show" so has to miss tomorrow. I am instructing, so said I would take him out in my car tomorrow. My car did not miss a beat.
I was able to select my favorite number, so i knew it was going to be a great two days. Those that followed ALMS racing will know the car I speak of, and my user name will make more sense.
Day one went well. No one passed me in the red group, and I caught a very well driven (and matched) 991 GTS 4 in my last session. I then realized that I should have dropped my pressures as the day got hotter, and that I had overheated my drivers rear. My car began to try and spin around on me a couple of times mid corner, until I cooled it down again. I am a slow learner at times, but a couple of big counter steers as the back end came out "more than a bit" reminded me my car is indeed trying to kill me. IT was a lot of fun, but had I done this after I got the car, I would be off track somewhere. Or at least that is how it felt in the heat of the moment. The chief instructor was with the GTS student. They were watching me and my hands on the wheel and later told me that he commented "Do you think he is having to work a lot harder than we are?"
