When I was in university, one of my buddies found a trunk of his grandfather's old clothes in his grandparents' attic. There were 2 tuxedos inside there dating back to the 20's or 30's. One was burgundy, the other was green and they were velour. One had a frilly collar.

Mike would put one of these on when we would head out for coffee or whatever. Always got lots of attention. These fit him perfectly.

At the time, Mike worked at the Crystal Pool in Victoria - it was the big public swimming pool. He was the guy that took your money when you showed up to go swimming. He started wearing these suits to work. After a few weeks, he was taken aside by his boss and in a very round about way, was quizzed about his job satisfaction, etc. Eventually, his boss told him he had to stop wearing the suits to work because she was worried one of the 'big wigs' from the city was going to make the staff start wearing uniforms if he kept it up...

Oh and me, I stopped doing the business casual thing when they rolled our salaries back. If I am doing a presentation, more meeting with customers, I dress up but for routine office work, I wear jeans and a dress shirt.
