It's a car with history. Some states don't even title a car that old. A title is just a piece of paper. My 74 is a branded title theft recovery. Means nothing to me. Condition condition condition. People get too worried about records and history on random cars. Not like it's some 10k mi barn find. It's a rough ratty old 67S chassis. Once it's restored title status will mean nothing. I know lots of 356s with S title. Nobody cares when the car itself is done right and is nice. The older they get the less it matters.
