Our garage used to be 18' wide x 26' deep. We enclosed the front 8' of it with an insulated drywall wall, and an entry door. My wife used this for her home office that she ran a marketing business out of for 10 years, with 2 employees. When that business shut down, I converted it into a small 8'x18' shop that I can easily heat or cool with all my tools, a spare fridge/freezer, and a long workbench made from a stretch of bowling alley (very hard wood).
The garage is now 18'x18' and just big enough for my 944 and her BMW 325 convertible with a small amount of room to walk around each car.
