That 71 Challenger has a flat hood. I have a 70 Challenger with a 426 Hemi in it and a flat hood wont close on it. You either have a shaker hood or the RT hood raised in the center with scoops on it. Mine has the RT package.I am betting its a small block or big block car but no Hemi
