I can recall going to an ALMS race there about 15 years ago, and the LMP1 cars weren't running. Just guessing here, but I'd bet part of the reason why top-flight cars are not seen at LRP is because it's too small of a track. It's only 1.3 miles long. There's only one real straight. And it's too crowded to have 4 classes of cars running simultaneously. Remember the uphill where Geoff Brahbam took off and went flying through the trees (before they installed the chicane) in a GTP car?
