That short, thick weld on the right front, that you mentioned, is very odd - wonder what's up with that?
No belt on the a/c compressor, so no way to tell how fubared the system is (other than the fact that it still has the York compressor - fubared right there in terms of weight, vibration and engine power consumption).
That model year still has the lame, and low quality dash - looks like the top is severely warped in pics.
