I remember reading somewhere that the 901 4-speeds are favored by the V8 conversion guys. They apparently have a MUCH greater torque tolerance than the 901 5-speeds. Makes one wonder how it would work with a torquey 3.6 in a light, early car. It would save a bit of weight vs a 915, and the 901 has a really nice shift action once you get into the "H".
