A lot of the car auctioned there are originally from Craigslist.
The current BMW CS, etc.
For a buyer, BaT is like a fancified craigslist in a lot of ways. Buy the same car, but for 50% more.
For a seller, it's a dream come true (see, e.g., the $48,000 BMW 2002).
