Looking good. You're well on your way. You're just a hop skip and a jump from having an in-floor scissor lift!
I just replaced my garage door and opener. I opted for the base level insulated door ( 16x7, $950 )
Then I installed the Liftmaster 8500 Opener ( $295 ). It's a jack shaft style and VERY quiet.
My garage faces south so I have constant sunshine....in Arizona. Needless to say, my garage can get downright unbearable. The insulation made a huge difference. It was 120° outside and it was surprising how much lower the temp was inside my garage. Granted, it was still hot inside, but reasonable. And that was during the hottest part of our summer. I continue to be impressed with how well the door manages the heat. And it was the base level insulation. Something like R-6 or 8.
