The seat stays on my Defy really work. My son was amazed to watch them flex under my bouncing ass. It's a comfy bike, I'm getting used to the relaxed geometry. I really like the stiffness of the BB hammering up hills. I'm not really impressed with the rear disc brakes so far. The long cable has too much flex & creates a mushy feel that doesn't inspire confidence. Maybe different pads will help. Here's yesterday's ride with my 13 year old son.

got it last night.
saddle so far is good but I could swap my old saddle if need be I guess.
what's really cool is this newest Roubaix (not the redesign but still a new model) uses their 10R carbon whereas before you had to step up to the expert I think to go up from 8R to 10R. I'm sure I won't be able to tell the difference but i'll take it.
I read disc brakes need bedding before they really work well. I didn't like the defy discs when I rode them myself but the frame is the best looking of the endurance bikes. The Roubaix uses rim brakes which for now I prefer. I swapped to 105 brakes (Roubaix sport comes with axis brakes) when I picked up my bike yesterday and it the difference is substantial. $57 for the brakes seems silly Specialized doesn't include them.
