My daughter has been looking to move up from her Yamaha 4 string to a 5 string. She has looked at some new and used in the $300 range and this came up locally for $150 used (5 months old).
For an idea what she has looked at, she has played a Fender Jazz 5 string (her favorite so far) Schecter, ESP, a Gibson Thunderbird that is way too big for her 5'3" frame and a few others including Ibanez but I don't remember her comments on them so that is probably good. She did not like the sound of the ESP at all. She plays stuff from heavy metal to classic rock. Rush to Fireflight to Pink Floyd to Metallica.
Is this worth the trip to go see? I have little experience with Ibanez and what experience I do have has not been good but it has all been related to used electric guitars and bad necks and it was two of them (not mine).
Her fave so far in sound and play-ability.
