I've owned & restored 23 1970 SS Chevelles. Some of you may remember my recent black LS5 documented car, so I have considerable experience with my opinion here. While the car is OK, it is not fairly represented. I see this crap all the time. When it comes time to visually document the car, the excuses start. The factory had a 'unique' style of engine pad stamping with alpha/numeric characters that are almost impossible to duplicate.
If the car came with a factory tach, there were only two options. I have never heard of this 'swap'. At the end of the day, its just another non LS5 / 6 car without its original engine
